Just register with us. Once registered you will be taken through to your website’s “Dashboard” where you can immediately start building your site.
top -Do I need any special software to build my site through HolidaySiteBuilder?
No, the beauty of the HolidaySiteBuilder system is that all you need is online access.
However, you will need to prepare your images and video offline. See ‘Preparing Images’ and ‘Preparing Video’ for further details of our recommended free software to prepare images and video for your website.
top -Do I get a domain name as part of the package through HolidaySiteBuilder?
Yes, you can choose one .co.uk, .com or .net domain name as part of the HolidaySiteBuilder package.
You can also point unlimited additional domains bought with other registrars to your HolidaySiteBuilder site. This is a free service.
top -Can you give me any guidance what web address I should use?
We would generally recommend keeping your domain name as simple and as short as possible. Your property name and / or location is always a good place to start.
You can check if domains are available to purchase during the registration process.
top -I have applied for a domain name through HolidaySiteBuilder. How long does it take to become active?
It takes about 3 working days for your domain name to become 'live'. Until then you will simply get a 'Page can't be displayed' message. We don't send confirmation of your domain becoming live as it's a gradual process that's outside of our control.
top -Do you offer an email forwarding service?
We offer a full email service for the domains bought through HolidaySiteBuilder. You can use webmail once logged into HolidaySiteBuilder and forward your email to other email accounts (eg Hotmail or Yahoo).
top -If I buy my domain name through HolidaySiteBuilder, do you submit it to search engines?
You can request submission of your site to the major search engines using the "Search Engine Submission" option on your Dashboard. Your HolidaySiteBuilder site will be automatically submitted to the major search engines. It will take around 3-6 months before it will start to appear in the rankings (this is standard and not unique to HolidaySiteBuilder). Please see the following link for more information about why it takes so long to show up in Google searches:

top -Is there any way I can find out how many people visit my HolidaySiteBuilder site?
Yes, once you have registered a domain and gone live, you are able to view many useful statistics using the “Web Statistics” sub-tab.
top -Changes I am making aren't appearing on my 'live' site. What should I do?
Your browser may have “cached” the old page. When you view a website, your browser will only download a new version of a page once per “session”. If you change your site and then look at your changes, you’ll still see the old version. There are several ways to get around this:
· If you use Firefox there is a great addon, which we use all the time! Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1801 and download it.
· Alternatively you can reload any individual page by holding down the Ctrl+shift keys and selecting View->Refresh in your browser’s menu.
Each browser also allows you to clear its cache manually:
Internet Explorer 7
6. From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
7. Choose the General tab.
8. Under Browsing history, click Delete.
9. Next to "Temporary Internet Files", click Delete files.
10. Click Close, and then click OK to exit.
Internet Explorer 4.x, 5.x, and 6.x for Windows
6. From the Tools menu (for version 4.x, the View menu), select Internet Options.
7. Choose the General tab.
8. In the "Temporary Internet Files" section, click Delete Files.
9. To confirm the deletion, click OK.
10. In the Internet Options dialog box, click OK.
Firefox 2.0 for Windows
From the Tools menu, select Clear Private Data, and then choose Cache.
Firefox 1.0 and 1.5 for Windows
3. From the Tools menu, select Options, and then click Privacy.
4. In 1.5, select the Cache tab, and then click the Clear Cache Now button. In 1.0, next to Cache, click the Clear button, and then click OK.
Safari
3. From the Safari menu, select Empty Cache.
4. When prompted, click Empty to confirm that you want to empty the cache.
Firefox 1.x and 2.0 for Mac OS X
3. From the Firefox menu, select Preferences.
4. From the sheet that drops down, select Privacy. In 2.0, click Clear Now. In 1.5, click Clear Cache Now. In 1.0, next to Cache, click the Clear button, and then OK.
top -How do I take a screen shot of a problem on my site?
To send a screenshot from a PC, do the following:
1. Press "prt Scr" twice. This button is usually towards the top right of your keyboard.
2. Open your photo editing package (e.g. Paint) and create a new blank document.
3. Paste the screenshot into the document.
5. Save the file as a JPEG and mail it to support@HolidaySiteBuilder.com
To send a screenshot from a Mac:
1. Hold down "Command" (Apple-key), "Shift" and "3" to copy the screen to the clipboard.
2. Follow the PC instructions from step 2.
top -I want to change the email address that is used by my "Contact Us" form or "Booking" form
Email alerts from your "Contact Us" form or "Booking" form are sent to the private email address you entered when registering.
You can change the email address by:
1) Clicking on "My Account" once you have logged in
2) Clicking on "Private Contact Details (DO NOT Appear on Your Site)"
3) Changing the email in the "Email Address" field
4) Clicking "Save Changes"
top -What is the best way to contact the HolidaySiteBuilder team?
The best way to contact us with queries and technical problems is via the 'Online Support' section under the Help tab. Sending your queries from within here enables us find your details quickly and easily. It's also more secure and so we request this for all domain and account change requests.
